The New Face of the Unions: The Working Families Party deception
in the American workplace

By Will Fine, Executive Director National Alliance for Worker and Employer Rights

A new specter is hanging over America put there and espoused by the Labor unions and their fearful minions. The specter is an idea that unions wish to spread to every corner of the nation. That idea is a nation wide party that is the labor unions in disguise. That disguise is called fusion voting. Despite the disguise unions feel secure they can show their true face in a new kind of socialism.

Fusion voting is that new face of socialism and it does aid the unions in grabbing power away from the American people. Imagine the upcoming presidential election in 08 the unions enter the election with their “line” of issues. The unions get all their members to vote for their union line and this % is known to each candidate and each candidate is held accountable to that union line. If we have a close election “Fusion voting” could be difference between winning and loosing…? Pro-Fusion Voters point to the election of Hillary Clinton and John F. Kennedy as examples that WFP/Labor union movement can be the decisive swing vote in important elections. New York has been ground zero and the model for the WFP/Labor union movement in other states. Working Families Party has consistently proved itself a tool for the unions getting what they want from the Democrats. Unions do this in two ways : 1) Different lines in fusion voting can be combined in the vote total if the issues match between third parties greatly increasing labor’s power over candidates if they so choose. This combining of lines takes place because fusion voting also permits more than one third party to nominate the same candidate this is called “Cross Endorsement” Ultimately, cross endorsement of one candidate across all third parties leads to a totality of vote combining all issue lines. 2) The unions have become expert in drawing together coalitions and networks in the states that consist of community leaders and labor union bosses controlling these coalitions in order to draw different fusion voting “lines” together and magnify their punch for their candidate.

Fusion voting also obviates the need to be identified either as republican or democrat. This is great in that there are many social issues that union members often identified as republicans are against-with fusion voting suddenly it appears that unions are more unified than they really are. Fusion voting in other words wielded by the unions destroys all dissent. Like the political paradigms of Socialism and Communism before it Fusion voting should surprise no one that it carries on such malignant traditions against our freedoms. Supporters of fusion voting say that it draws in many voters that have never voted before because it is issue driven. But how issue driven is it if as a condition of employment union members have to vote for the union line? If union members cant speak their minds as republicans and democrats? Who really controls the political process of free speech but the union bosses? How less free will union members be when their whole lives are decided from manipulated “card check” campaigns deciding union certification to that of who they should choose as their senators, representative and president?

Clearly Fusion voting to support a nationwide Labor union party is spreading and must be stopped by all free Americans. We would appreciate any accounts of such activities at the National Alliance for Worker and Employer Rights to kill this new union movement. We will use all means at our disposal from legal to lobbying action to end this prevailing nationwide union threat. Please contact us at 202-393-1185

Be aware unions are organizing fusion voting and Working Family Parties in your states. Oregon is the latest staging ground. On October 18th, 2005 Oregon’s AFL-CIO passed a resolution calling for “ the Oregon AFL-CIO to convene a coalition of all like minded organizations and individuals to explore the formation of a Working Families Party of Oregon, and the reinstitution of fusion voting in Oregon, to put forth the economic values and priorities of working families in Oregon. “ Oregon’s former state President of the AFL-CIO Tim Nesbitt joined the Teamsters, public employee unions and eleven other unions to form a Working Families Party in Oregon. WFP has no written platform. Their strategy from interviews is to split the Republican Party by taking on more “economic issues” like minimum wage, health care and progressive taxation. The WFP idea is also to draw Democrats who have defected from Democratic Party based on social issues like “Gay Marriage” but might come back if economic issues were better represented by WFP. WFP in Oregon needs only 19,000 to become a minor party in Oregon. If WFP becomes a minor party they will then go after the Oregon Legislature this spring. This effort by the unions can be stopped with your help:
